Grandma and Grandpa Quick Trip

Can you name this country song? "I'd start walking your way, you'd start walking mine, we'll meet in the middle 'neath that old Georgia pine." I like that song. It's Diamond Rio's We'll meet in the middle. That's what Elizabeth and I did the first weekend of February. My parents were in Austin that week on business and we decided to meet there to see them that weekend. Jaren was even able to come with us!

Little did we know Austin has an incredible Children's Museum called The Thinkery and that became our designated "meet in the middle" spot. We spent all Saturday morning at The Thinkery, the kids had a blast playing and Elizabeth and I had a good time visiting with Grandma and Grandpa.

Later that afternoon Elizabeth and her kids headed back to Houston and the rest of us headed down to walk the river in downtown Austin. That city is beautiful! It was a nice day, not too cold and not too hot. There were a lot of people out walking with us that day.

Sunday morning we had a quick visit to the State Capitol before driving Grandma and Grandpa back to the airport and then heading home to Dallas.
