Did you guys have field day growing up? I went to school at Chelsea Heights in St. Paul Minnesota. I can still remember our school song. Our school is Chelsea Heights, it is the best. Better than any school, North, South, East or West, YES! Good friends and teachers too, nothing can go wrong. So C.H.E.L.S.E.A. This is our song! YEAH!!! Anyways, at Chelsea we called it Jelly Bean Day and Ms. Hoiser, our gym teacher who was super skinny and smoked put on a really good jelly bean day. I always looked forward to it! I only got two pictures but hey, something is better then nothing.

Shortly after this was the end of the school parties, if you could call them that. Well actually I think they do a pretty good job with the kindergarten graduation. I knew what was coming this time since I did it with Austin but I still got teary eyed when all the kids came marching into the gym singing "I don't know but I've been told, Kindergarten made us grow. We learned to count and write and read, raise our hands before we speak. ABC's and 123's, good behavior got us treats. We tried so hard to make you proud, we're through with kindergarten SHOUT IT OUT!!!" It's so crazy to me that both my kids are in school. That like, makes me an old mom. You go through phases in life where all your friends are getting married, then comes the baby showers and now I don't even have very many friends who are still having babies. Anyways, yeah. I got teary eyed when Caleb came marching in chanting their cute little song.

Once the kids are done with Kindergarten the so called parties consists of feeding the kids doughnuts and giving each one an award.

At the same time school was coming to a close so was soccer. Caleb had played baseball before but didn't want to again because he said it was boring. He wanted to give soccer a try. Unlike baseball where you stand still for most of the time and barely ever get time with the ball, soccer you're constantly on the go and get plenty of time with the ball. He loved it! And he was good!
And just for fun here is a little video from when Caleb was 15 months old. We've always known he would be an athletic child! If you listen closely you can hear Caleb say ball very quietly.
